New Artist Alert!

grace-carterHey guys, today I am not going to be reviewing any albums, but I want to introduce you to an artist I just came across, that’s if you don’t know her already. Grace Carter has captured my heart I mean I have just heard two songs on hers and I am hooked. The song ‘why her not me’ was the first I heard and I mean the emotions in that song is everything.

I never predict whether an artist is going to be a big star because radio doesn’t support good music anymore but all I can say is that Grace Carter is going to make music that is going to get us through some serious shit and I am ready to go with her on this journey. She has an EP out which I haven’t heard yet but when I hear it I will sure give the review, so guys go check her out and come thank me later.grace carter Photo Credit: Getty

Alessia Cara’s Growing Pains Review

Alessia-CaraSo guys today I am going to be reviewing Alessia Cara’s The Pains of Growing. Now I have been following Alessia’s music since 2015 and at first I was skeptical about listening because I didn’t want what I termed ‘another high school artist’ but after listening to ‘Here’ I was hooked.

Now to the album, on my first listen I felt some kind of relief, Alessia has a way of singing out everything I am going through and maybe cause we around the same age which makes me feel like pain is universal or maybe because she is my just soulmate but anyways I could relate to every song on a personal level which is beautiful, and fun fact she wrote all songs on her own, no help.

If you enjoy it come thank me later.alessia-cara-growing-pains-fallon-video

Anderson Paak’s Onxard Review

Anderson-Paak-Oxnard-FeatureHello guy, what my name is does not really matter, it’s my love for music that has brought you here, so we going to get right to it. But here is a little disclaimer, this blog is not to tear any artist down, I respect creativity a lot, but that doesn’t mean if I am having a bad day and your favorite musician happens to release a song I might just take my anger out on him. But the purpose of this blog is to direct y’all to good music.

andersonSo the album, I am going to be reviewing first is Anderson Paak’s Onxard album, this is the first project from the rapper I am listening to and I get this reminiscing feeling like an artist I have heard before. I am in love with the jazz feel I am getting from the album and as someone that is beginning to appreciate live music, this album is the shit, the instruments were in perfect synchrony. I don’t have a favorite song from the album yet, maybe with more consecutive listens I will get it, but until then let me just say this album is doing it for me. This is not some radio hit album or something that you might likely hear in the club, this is more of an album you drive to or something you listen when you working or when you just want some melody. And the features on the album are just mad and the I mention the jazz feel? Rap with jazz is just epic. Go check the album out and make sue to come and thank me. oxnard-album-paak-details Photo Credit: Getty
